Hairstyling and Barbering Program Information

Our 10-Month Hairstyling and Barbering Trade program is the ultimate program for aspiring stylists and barbers. Offered exclusively in small class sizes, it provides personalized, hands-on learning to help you master advanced techniques in cutting, coloring, styling, and barbering. Learn from award-winning instructors and gain inspiration from guest artists who bring real-world expertise into the classroom. With a proven track record of producing successful graduates, this program, which offers the lowest tuition cost in the province, equips you with the skills, creativity, and confidence to excel in the industry. Secure your spot now!

Did you know? Due to regulations in Saskatchewan, before you can specialize in barbering, you need to become a licensed hairstylist and get experience working in all aspects of the trade and hair services. In our province, barbering isn’t a standalone trade (yet!), so mastering general hairstyling skills is essential before focusing on barbering.

This is a full-time, hands-on program designed to get you career-ready.

You will complete 1500 hours of training, typically finished within 10 months. Training is delivered through a combination of classroom learning and practical, hands-on experience to ensure you build both knowledge and confidence.

Students attend on a consistent weekly schedule, allowing for steady skill development and real-world application. Throughout the program, you will gain experience working on mannequins and live clients, preparing you for the pace and expectations of the industry.

Upon completion of the 1500 in-school hours, graduates are prepared to transition into the workplace and continue their apprenticeship hours toward journeyperson certification.
