FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are your full trade programs? We have our 10 month Hairstyling & Barbering, 10 Month Advanced Esthetics, 7 month Skin Care Technician and 3.5 (4 days a week) nail technician program.
What if I am currently still completing highschool and do not have a transcript?
No worries! You can send in an unofficial one from your school or send your official transcript as soon as you complete your grade needed. Just let us know in the comment box above.
What if I want to take both skin and nail? Our 10 month advanced esthetics is BOTH nail technician and skin care technician combined. So you received both certifcates when you gradute!
What if I am missing items for the full time program admission requirements?
Just send them to us as soon as you gather all of the items to director@elitecenter.ca – just note your application will not be processed until we have all of the required documents. You can still send in your registration form now, even if you don’t have all the documents.
If I am applying for the 1-4 day courses, do I need to send in any admission requirements?
No! You just need to complete the registration form and we will contact you regarding course fees within 72 hours.
Can I bring my documents in person or does it have to be online?
You can always bring them in person if you prefer.
Can I apply on my phone?
Yes. Registration can be completed on a mobile or desktop. If using an Android, documents may need to be uploaded as a combined PDF. If you have any issues uploading documents, please contact us!
Do I need to pay the registration fee to apply?
The $100 registration fee is required to apply for our full time trade programs.
Is the registration fee refundable?
Our registration fees are non-refundable.
Can I apply if I do not have any prior experience?
Absolutely. No prior experience is required for any of our programs (except microneedling and chemical peels- you must have your facial course).
Can I apply for more than one program?
Yes! You can apply for more than one program. Once we contact you, we will chat about the best options to suit you. Just check off which programs you are interested in.
What is the age requirement for the programs? Any Esthetics, nails, skin or part time course you must have a grade 10. Our hairstyling program you must have a grade 11.
Can I take a part time course if I am in highschool? Yes. We have many people in highschool take our 1-4 day courses. It is a great option for to do as a part time job during highschool and then can contiune with the full certified programs once you complete highschool.
When will I hear back after submitting my application?
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. You can expect to hear back from us within 3 business days. If you don’t hear from us, please reach out to us in case any errors occurred.
Are spots limited?
Yes. Class sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure quality hands-on training. Submitting your registration form does not guarantee a spot until confirmation is sent.
Do you offer business and career guidance? Yes! Another reason we keep our classes small so we can take the time to help you create your resume, guide you with the options for your future and spend the time to make sure you know the buisness side and career side of your industry. We also offer social media training and advanced social media to help you really build your portfolio before graduation.

Can I book a tour so I can see the training center and ask questions?

Full Time Program Refund Policy
Refunds are provided in accordance with section 5-4 (2) of The Private Vocational Schools Regulations, 2022. See attached excerpt. Refunds are generally calculated according to the following criteria:
- school has provided 20% or less of instructional hours – school may retain 25% of tuition fee payable
- school has provided more than 20% but 50% or less of instructional hours – school may retain 60% of tuition fee payable
- school has provided more than 50% of instructional hours – school may retain 100% of tuition fee payable
If a student provides written notice to an operator that he or she intends to discontinue taking the course or program, the operator may retain the applicable proportion indicated in the criteria provided above.
If a student is absent from a course or program for a maximum 21 consecutive calendar days, the student is deemed to have discontinued the course or program and the school shall immediately provide written notice to the student that the operator will retain the applicable proportion.
